About Us

James Sewell Ballet was founded in 1990 by James Sewell and Sally Rousse when both danced in New York companies.The company performs regularly throughout Minnesota and the United States. The dancers have visited nearly 50 Minnesota communities, 28 states, Canada, Iceland, and Bermuda.

Performances & Events

In its most ambitious performance season to date, James Sewell Ballet will light up its 2005-06 home and touring stages with the premiere of “Guy Noir: The Ballet,” based on the character created by public radio’s Garrison Keillor.
