Marketing Associate
James Sewell Ballet is accepting applications for a part-time Marketing Associate to assist with the day-to-day promotional activities of the organization. Now in its 16th season, the company enjoys a strong presence in the Twin Cities cultural arts community as well as a national reputation for its stunning contemporary ballet repertoire. The responsibilities and skills set of this position are described below.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Assist with reconciliation of theater box offices.
Provide sales and support to patrons both in-person and on the telephone, engaging patrons, proposing tickets to upcoming events, solicit memberships and donations, and properly navigate the ticketing system.
Process all ticketing for company, including telemarketing and subscription orders, mailings and account maintenance.
Work with all department managers to arrange and track comp tickets (including dancer and staff requests) as requested.
Assist with the implementation of new electronic media development.
Work with marketing committee to ensure relevance of projects and activities.
Coordinate and expand promotions to K-12 school and college students.
Coordinate and deepen corporate single-ticket promotions and group sales.
Work closely with local hotels and restaurants to create ticket packages.
Secure advertisers for season programs
Serve as company representative on-site at venues during performances.
Assist in all publicity campaigns and projects as necessary.
Assist with all press related activities.
Assist with the execution of all special events.
Skills
Must be organized in order to accurately track customers, vendors and database information.
Should manage time efficiently in order to meet deadlines and fulfill requests from others.
Must be dedicated and committed to customer service.
Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Computer literate in Windows based operating systems and capable of learning database and graphics programs.
Able to interact with all types of personalities including high-level government officials, board members, artists and customers.
Must be patient and tolerant in order to resolve conflicts.
Should have flexible sense of humor in order to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
Must be dedicated to the mission of the organization and work diligently to advance its mission.
Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
